This Monday's Show and A Special Addition Show This Week!

I have updated the schedule to a once a week publication. It is still an archived show but it will be out once a week now, on Mondays for now unless I change it and make it a live show or need to do an additional show that week. So I'm now on weekly to entertain your brain and make you think about what truth is and is not! Or just plain make you think!

~ Monday's Weekly Addition ~

Sue from Decatur ~ Hear a very personal story that's never been told in public before. This very special lady has choosen me to talk to about her own experiences. She will make up part of why I began this show to begin with - to help others and to help them know they are not alone in their experiences and not to be afraid to seek out help if needed. This is a real individual that is NOT related to the paranormal field that experienced this at a young age and is brave enough to come out in public for the first time right here with me. Sue, it is an honor!

This Wednesday I will have special guest Carmen Reed from "A Haunting In Connecticut"! I'm very excited to have her on. She's a special lady with a special story. A survivor of a true life nightmare and an inspiration to all of us! Visit her myspace profile at: http://www.myspace.com/carmenreed955
Visit her website at: http://carmenreedonline.com/!
This is a story of a family struggling against all odds, a move to a new place with a boy with cancer. In a fight for life and a fight for pure survival of the family as a whole after moving into a place closer to the cancer treatment center that they didn't know was once a funeral home. It got rough and it's one of John Zaffis's most talked about cases. Hear "Karen Parker" (Carmen Reed in real life) tell it like it happened. The documentary can be seen on the Discovery Channel and TLC. It can also ve viewed on YouTube or streamed from there on our own website here: http://ghostmind.net/GM_Videos_HauntingInConnecticut.html
If someone had not uploaded it to YouTube then I would have never gotten to see it. So I've placed it on our website for convienience for our listeners and visitors.
It's going to be a week with renewal of this show and it's beginning with a BANG!
Carmen, you are a very brave and special lady. You've helped and enlightened many. We all thank you for this opportunity!

Updates On The Show

I think you can see the first update here, which is adding the two new players to this blog so you can listen to the show right from our blog here.

I've also added the players to these links:

http://www.myspace.com/dragonflyradio

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/dragonflyradio

http://www.gcast.com/u/dragonflyradio/main

http://ghostmind.net/DragonflyRadio.html

http://ghostmind.net/DragonflyRadioArchives.html

The file download size was greatly reduced and will be on the main website now also, so they will not take up so much room on your hard drive and so the download will not take as long. I know you'll be happy about that.

I'll be posting a new schedule with upcoming guests and new show releases just after this.

Leave The Nighwatchers OUT of This!

OK, I've gotten LOTS of hate mail that CANNOT be traced to any member of the Nightwatchers at all. They have no clue where the threats to me and my show are coming from nor do I since the ones pretending to be them are not on the members list and I've had that verified by a reliable source.

Paranormally Challenged Radio and Dragonfly Radio are NOT at odds with each other nor have problems with each other. Whoever is pretending to be either a Nightwatcher or "PC" needs to face reality.

The ISP of those threats can be traced and legal action by me will be persued if it does not cease!

No Nightwatcher has offended or threatened me and this issue is NOT about US, as I have been a Nightwatcher for a long time now! Almost as long as they've been around, or when I frist heard of them! That also can be verified.

Leave the Nightwatchers ALONE or deal with me personally.

Todd Sheets and PC are my FRIENDS! Leave them alone, also or else face me personally!

These things I promise you!

Also, whoever thinks they can sue me, go ahead. You left yourself blank as in a name, anyway so really I'm threatened by a NOBODY who will feel good or like a big person (or REAL person) by taking down a radio show that consists of one staff member ~ ME! And a team that consists of three whole members! If that makes you FEEL GOOD, go right ahead. I'll meet you before you get far enough to blink.

This I promise you.

Eerie Luminarias from Better Homes and Gardens

Eerie Luminarias

For little investment, you can make enough characters to line your drive on Halloween night.

What You Need:

Patterns
Gallon plastic jugs rinsed with labels removed
Utility knife
Tracing paper
Pencil
Scissors
Tape
Paint markers in silver, orange, green, yellow, red, and black
Goo Be Gone
Paper towels and cotton swabs
Thick white crafts glue
Monster: 2 each of bolts, nuts, washers; white and black crafting foam scraps, such as Fun Foam
Cat: 2 12-inch lengths of 20-gauge steel wire
Darning needle and pliers
Sand and candles, flashlight, or a string of lights

Instructions:

1. Download the free patterns. (Downloading requires Adobe Acrobat.)
Cat Luminaria: http://img.att.net/cobrand/bellsouth/img/meredith/catluminarias.pdf

Frankenstein Luminaria: http://img.att.net/cobrand/bellsouth/img/meredith/frankluminaria.pdf

Skeleton Luminaria: http://img.att.net/cobrand/bellsouth/img/meredith/skeleton.pdf

2. Carefully cut the spout and handle off the jug. Enlarge and trace the patterns. Cut out face patterns and tape to the inside of the jugs.

3. Outline the skeleton with silver; the monster head with green; and the cat with black. To spread the color over the face of the jug, squeeze a few drops of Goo Be Gone onto a folded paper towel and rub it over the paint marker. Continue working around the edges, wiping the paint toward the center of your design. If you're working on the skull, you'll need to draw an additional line of orange around the skull and then spread it outward with the paper towel and Goo Be Gone. Let dry.

4. After the paint has dried, add eyes, nose, teeth, hair, and scar with the different colored paint markers. Remove any mistakes or unwanted marks by squeezing Goo Be Gone onto the end of a cotton swab and then wiping away the problem spot (use paper towel for larger areas). Once you're pleased with your design, outline the features with the black paint marker.

5. To insert the bolts in the monster's neck, prepoke a hole on each side of his neck with scissors. Thread a washer onto the bolt and push it through the hole. Reaching inside the jug, screw a nut onto the end of the bolt. Use the cat ear, collar, and bow tie patterns to cut pieces from foam. Slip the collar under the washers and glue the bow tie to the center of the collar. Glue the cat ears in place.

6. To thread the whiskers onto the cat, prepoke two holes on each side of the nose with a needle and poke the wire into a hole on one side of the nose and out the hole on the other side. Repeat the process with the second wire. Use pliers to make curls on ends of the wires.

7. If using candles to light the luminarias, pour 2 to 3 inches of sand in the bottom of each jug. Place a candle in the center.

Note: Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Creature Cutouts From Better Homes and Gardens

Creature Cutouts

What You Need:

Tracing paper

Pencil

Scissors

Pumpkin, scooped out with lid out

Paring knife

Sticks and twigs

26-gauge orange or black wire

Wire cutters

Pumpkin-carving tools

Glass beads

Instructions:

1. Download the free patterns for this project. (Downloading requires Adobe Acrobat.)
Bat: http://img.att.net/cobrand/bellsouth/img/meredith/pumpkinbat.pdf

Cat: http://img.att.net/cobrand/bellsouth/img/meredith/pumpkincat.pdf

Owl: http://img.att.net/cobrand/bellsouth/img/meredith/pumpkinowl.pdf

2. To make any of the designs, trace the desired pattern. Cut out the pattern. Trace around the pattern on the pumpkin. Cut out the shape.

3. For the cat, make a broom by grouping a bunch of twigs around one end of a stick. Bind them in place by tightly winding wire six times around the twigs. Twist the wire ends together and trim the extra wire. To attach the broom, first poke a vertical pair of holes under each of the front cat paws. Hold the broom under the paws with one hand. With the other hand, secure it in place by threading a 3-inch length of wire out one hole, over the broom handle, and back in through the second hole. Twist the wire ends together inside the pumpkin. Repeat the process with the second pair of holes. Cut a 4-inch length of wire for the face. Thread a orange or black nose bead onto the center of the wire. Bend both wire ends up from the nose and then thread matching eye beads onto either side. If necessary, bend the wire to secure the eye beads in place. Poke the wire ends into the pumpkin flesh on either side of the cat's head.

4. To make the owl, poke a vertical pair of holes under both owl wings. Follow the directions for attaching the cat's broom to attach the owl's branch. Cut two 2-inch lengths of wire. Thread an eye bead onto the center of each wire. Bend the wire above and below the bead to hold it in place. Poke the wire ends into the pumpkin flesh at the top and bottom of eye sockets.

5. To make the bat, poke a pair of vertical holes above the bat's feet. Follow the directions for attaching the cat's broom to attach the branch above the bat's feet. With small beads and wire, make the bat's face as done for the cat's face.
